Responsibilities:
The Sr. Associate – Development will work as part of the Development Team to form the physical redevelopment strategy and business plan for each asset, manage redevelopment activities from design inception to completion of construction and to oversee the tenant design, buildout and opening process across Asana Partner’s west coast portfolio. The Sr. Associate – Development will contract and coordinate with third party partners and consultants to manage the project intent, budget, and schedule to successful completion. The Sr. Associate – Development will partner closely with the Investments, Leasing and Asset Management Teams to support the execution of the overall business plan for each property. Duties include:
- Partner with the Investments, Asset Management, and Leasing Teams to develop the business plan and execute the redevelopment and repositioning of assets based on the underwritten value creation strategy.
- Partner with the Leasing Team to create tenant work letters as well as review and provide input on all lease terms related to the delivery of the space.
- Provide design and budgeting input during due diligence to assist the Investments team in the acquisition of new assets.
- Manage the schedule and budget of each redevelopment project.
- Manage the RFP / bid process for each redevelopment project.
- Source and hire third party consultants in new markets including, but not limited to, architects, engineers, and general contractors.
- Coordinate with Tenants to oversee the delivery of tenant upfit work including design, budgeting, construction and opening.
- Work with Asset Management to manage logistics and tenant coordination for on-site work and construction.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in real estate, business, finance, engineering, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree in real estate, engineering, architecture or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years’ experience in real estate, development, project management, construction, or design
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Established relationships across major west coast markets with qualified third-party architects, general contractors, engineers, etc.
- Critical thinker with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Independent, able to effectively complete tasks with minimal oversight
- Acute attention to detail and passion for quality
- Exceptional understanding of real estate development processes
- Strong organizational and process skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple, complex projects across various markets simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Excel
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of effective independent judgment
- Frequent Travel
