Description


As an integral member of the New York based team, the Director -or- Senior Director will support all efforts in fund launch oversight, investor relations/services, marketing materials, project management and due diligence efforts. This role requires outstanding communication and analytical skills, people management talents, as well as successful experience working cross-functionally to provide timely, accurate and appropriate information to our investors. This is a highly visible role, interacting with C-suite leaders, Portfolio Management, Finance, Compliance, and other leaders throughout the business.

Essential Duties:

  • Create, edit, and maintain investor presentations, diligence materials and other marketing materials to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Assist in drafting private placement memorandums (PPMs) and other ad hoc fundraising material – including securing information from relevant team members, preparing answers, creating charts, and assembling materials.
  • Assist with new product development and creating relevant materials.
  • Prepare due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and related due diligence requests.
  • Oversee the execution of due diligence items and investor requests.
  • Supervise and track the distribution of minutes for product, new business, and general GIG team calls
  • Work with Investment and Global Investors Group (GIG) capital raising teams to complete investor documentation and help with closing processes.
  • Apply partnership skills and the ability to work both internally with teams across functions and regions and externally with existing and prospective investors in a polished and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with Compliance to maintain and implement any investor reporting/marketing materials and disclosure requirements as part of being a Registered Investment Advisor with the SEC.
  • Liaise with Compliance, Legal, Finance, Portfolio Management/Analytics, and Investment teams in marketing efforts, due diligence requests, etc.
  • Complete special projects and other investor-related responsibilities as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university, preferably with focus on accounting/finance
  • 7- 10 years of relevant experience in private equity real estate and institutional investor relations
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Self-starter; capable of developing and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work well in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Comfortable interfacing with clients when necessary.
  • Previous management experience ideal
  • Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job title.

As required by the New York City Human Rights Law (NYCHRL), Affinius Capital is including a good faith estimate for this role, with a starting annual base salary range of $180,000-$200,000. The base salary is just one component of the position’s compensation package.  Employees may also be eligible to participate in Affinius Capital’s discretionary Annual Bonus program and other employee benefit programs, subject to the specific terms and eligibility requirements of such programs.
