Link Logistics Real Estate –Development Analyst 

Locations: Irvine, CA 

 

Link Logistics Real Estate (“Link”) is a leading national owner of last-mile logistics real estate designed to meet the needs of the modern supply chain. Summary 

The Analyst is responsible for supporting the Senior Investments and Development Team members with a myriad of analytical duties related to underwriting potential investment opportunities. This includes market tracking, comparative lease and sale analysis, modeling deals within our Excel model, preparing materials for internal Investment Committee at Link and Blackstone’s Review Committee, and assisting with the due diligence for development opportunities that have been awarded to Link. The Analyst will work directly with the development team to assist in the underwriting of land acquisitions for ground-up development and update national statistics for investor and quarterly board meetings. Additionally, the Analyst will work closely with the Development Team to periodically revaluate ongoing and completed projects within Link’s development pipeline and to analyze and update development project budgets prior to construction commencement. 

 

While day to day responsibilities will vary based on your position, you’ll also participate in our Gateway Development Program. This career development program provides meaningful hands-on work experience, specific professional development opportunities, expanded networking & broader exposure to leadership. 

Responsibilities 

  • Review and screen commercial real estate development investment opportunities  
  • Assist in the financial analysis and underwriting of potential investments  
  • Develop transaction specific financial models for real estate investments  
  • Periodically revaluate ongoing and completed projects within Link’s development pipeline using discounted cash flow and sales comparable analyses  
  • Research and analyze market statistics  
  • Assist asset managers in all aspects of portfolio operations to include leasing, developing property budgets, and formulating long-term asset strategies  
  • Prepare investment committee memorandums and analysis on all new investments and development opportunities  
  • Prepare Management Committee and Board presentations  
  • Assist throughout the due diligence and feasibility analysis process of awarded development deals 
  • Analyze and update development budgets from general contractor/development partner bids prior to project commencements  
Qualifications 
  • Pursuing a B.A., B.S. or 5th year M.A. or M.S. with an expected graduation date of December 2021 - June 2022 
  • A well-rounded academic background – Minimum preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2  
  • Detail oriented, analytical, strong organizational skills, proven ability to meet deadlines, works well under pressure and possess the ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize effectively 
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as individually 
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills 
  • Experience with Yardi is a plus
