The shortest month broke all records for “snow days” in cities that never see snow. Whether snow is responsible or not for the U. S. Labor Department’s February Jobs Report that added only 20,000 jobs, the lowest number in 18 months sparked fears of a downward trend. But not from what we are seeing looking at jobs added to our Real Estate Professional Association Job Network. In fact, Real Estate job opportunities are trending up:
January (23 business days) added 194 jobs or 8.4 jobs per day
February (19 business days) added 179 jobs or 9.4 jobs per day
March 1-12 (8 business days) added 150 jobs or 20 jobs per day
On the other side of the equation, since January 1, 2019, nearly 3,000 new registrants, looking for new opportunities, were added to our already 300,000 registered Candidates. February was the first time in 19 years out of 133 that Punxsutawney Phil predicted an early spring. I’m convinced from the numbers, sunny days are ahead for our industry.
