The first day of my first job in New York City an industry legend told me, “The secret to success is to have your plate out when the pie is passed.” If you’re waiting for the perfect job, keep taking advantage of all the opportunities still available where you work. Even a little proficiency in another job function can swing the vote to hire you. Employers often tell us they are looking for the “passive” candidate, so upload your resume and make it “public” to our premier employers, so they can contact you.
