The Professionals’ Choice for Real Estate Jobs

Grit

Goldman Sachs recruiters will no longer conduct first-round interviews for summer positions on campus at elite schools like Harvard, Yale and Stanford University. Instead, all candidates for summer analyst positions, the first rung in a banking as well as many of our industry’s careers, must complete a video interview, answering prompts from a software program. The goal: to not only attract the best and the brightest, but the most committed, those with “grit.” “The Wall Street Journal” reported the most telling fact: their high-ranking executives who sit on the firm’s 41st floor are alumni of Hamilton College, and American, George Washington and Rutgers Universities. According to LinkedIn, on average Millennials change jobs four times by the time they are 32. The changes Goldman is making could stem the tide. They are speeding the path to promotions and eliminating some of the grunt work that often fell to younger employees. Looking for “Grit,” too? Post Intern Jobs for free on SelectLeaders Job Network.
