The IT Manager will be responsible for major IT projects, as well as the day-to-day activities of the Information Technology department.  The position requires expertise in the analysis, design, implementation, and support of technology and application related projects such as computing platforms, network infrastructure, and system software products to meet business requirements.  This position will report directly to the Vice President of IT. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of success in the management of people, processes, and projects.  Technical and functional experience in a Microsoft environment is required, along with leadership capabilities and a strong work ethic.  Candidate must be a fast learner and willing to engage in self-study to increase knowledge of any company technology where they do not possess expertise.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Proactively lead IT efforts, under guidance of CFO and VP, IT, with regard to planning, development, communication, implementation and support of IT strategy, IT road map, IT projects, IT department budgets (Operating Expenses and Capital Expenditures), as well as, IT billing, allocation and reimbursement methods for managed assets.
  • Develop individual and team professional development plans, training and budget for IT staff to help them attain/update technical proficiency and/or certification, ITIL-readiness, Project Management, and other relevant skills.
  • Lead daily, weekly, monthly and other team meetings such as Daily Huddle, Weekly Project Update & Ticket KPIs review, Service Level Agreement reviews and Project Planning meetings, including agenda, report and presentation materials preparation.
  • Update IT Service Catalog and Application Catalog documentation to reflect what services and applications are present at Madison Marquette, define the support levels and resources provided by IT, SMEs in business units and/or third-party service providers and communicate to IT staff and business leaders through SLAs.
  • Draft, modify and implement IT Policies and Procedures as directed by VP, IT and CFO (and in collaboration with HR/Payroll, Accounting, Chief Compliance Officer and other business leaders where appropriate).
  • Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
  • Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.

Qualifications:  
  • Four year college or university program certificate/degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional IT management experience in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry (i.e., developer, leasing/brokerage, investment and/or property management service provider, REIT) or similar dynamic services organization with multiple corporate and branch offices across multiple U.S. time zones is required.  10+ years total IT progressive experience is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated “business first” and customer-oriented understanding of ITIL-readiness with regard to SLAs, Configuration Management, Change Management, SDLC, Service Delivery, Help Desk/Contact Center Operations, Problem & Incident Management “best practices”, Vendor Management and compliance is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated “business writing” experience suitable for policy and procedure documentation, as well as, IT operational announcements and effective interactions with senior executives, middle managers and staff at all levels is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience supervising IT staff and/or contractors, coaching, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development and customer service organization development is required.
  • Experience managing, as well as, deploying and/or migrating from on-premises to hosted/cloud-based services such as Office 365, Windows Intune, Citrix ShareFile, Trend Micro Anti-virus, Symantec/Veritas EV.cloud, Symantec BackupExec, Xclaimer Exchange E-mail Signature Manager for Office 365 and Microsoft Skype for Business is required.
  • Experience using and/or managing Kaseya VSA or comparable IT Help Desk/Service Desk Ticketing, Hardware Audit & Asset Management, Patch Management, Installer Package Creation & Deployment, Secure Remote Control, Problem/Incident Management, Configuration Management, Mobile Device Management, Network Monitoring & Alerts is required (Remedy, Heat, FootPrints, Service Now, ZenDesk, Service Now) is required.
  • Solid working knowledge of OSI 7-layer network model, IP network/subnet/VLAN Class A/BC addressing schema, TCP/IP stack, VPN and WAN internetworking protocols and “best practices” is required.
  • Strong organizational/team and project work breakdown structure design (e.g., phases, tasks, deliverables, milestones, precedents) skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Systems Administrator level experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Admin Portal, Windows Server 20xx R2 IIS and utility services (DNS, DHCP, WINS/NetBIOS, NTFS File, Network Print, DC Authentication), VMware ESX & vCenter/vSphere, Exchange Server 201x/Exchange Online, SharePoint Server 201x/SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, ShareFile, Office Online/Mobile Apps, Active Directory Users & Computers and ADFS are required.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office 201x Suite applications including:  Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint and Visio are required; Introductory-level proficiency with Microsoft Access, Project, Publisher and Skype for Business is desirable.
  • Must be familiar with responding to auditing requests (SSAE16).
  • Knowledge of security control frameworks such as NIST or ISO 27001.
  • Solid understanding of protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, SSL, SMTP.
  • Technical Training and Certifications such as A+, Network+, MCSA, MCSE, MSP, CCNA, ITIL, PMI PMP or APM, ITIL Foundations are highly desirable Experience managing, integrating and/or supporting MRI or other relevant CRE SaaS solutions (e.g., Nexus Payables, Avidxchange, Yardi, CTI, Argus Enterprise, SS&C The Next Round, Real Capital Markets, Intuit QuickBooks Online) is a plus.
  • Experience managing, upgrading and/or supporting on-premises CRE vertical applications such as Argus DCF Valuation (standalone, network and WAN licenses), Bloomberg BNA Fixed Assets, and Kardin Budget System is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience procuring, configuring, deploying, monitoring and supporting Cisco Systems route/switch/firewall devices, Dell SonicWALL security/firewall/route/content filtering appliances and/or AeroHive PoE+ switches and Wi-Fi WAPs and related cloud-management consoles (SonicWALL GSM, AeroHive HiveManager, Cisco IOS Command Line Interface) is a plus.
