Vice President, Enterprise Real Estate

Job Description:
Ameriprise Financial is seeking a Vice President, Enterprise Real Estate (ERE) with a demonstrated track record of managing a large real estate portfolio and related services, in a global organization.  This is a highly-visible role with a direct impact on the branding and profitability of the company.  This role is responsible for the acquisition, disposition, maintenance of 250 global corporate sites encompassing 4 million square feet.  Enterprise Real Estate is also responsible for cafeteria services for our large campus sites, mail services, fine art program and operating the Oak Ridge Conference Center.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing a well thought-out strategy for the firm’s real estate assets.  By leveraging a collaborative, thoughtful approach, this leader has the opportunity to further optimize the firm’s real estate portfolio while continuing to evolve our space as an acquisition and retention tool for maintaining and building an engaged workforce.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the strategy for corporate real estate assets in the U.S., EMEA, APAC with key sites in Minneapolis, Boston, NYC, Green Bay, Chicago, Phoenix, Las Vegas, London, Delhi Region (India) 

• Partner with leaders of our Advice & Wealth Management Advisor business to optimize the Field Real Estate portfolio while driving earnings growth 
• Execution against agreed upon project scope, timelines and budgets for key initiatives

• Manage key vendor relationships to ensure resources are deployed to meet organizational needs 

• Lead the day to day management of real estate assets which include:

• Facilities Management & Engineering
• Transaction Management
• Project Management
• Food Service (cafeterias, catering, convenience store & coffee program)
• Mail Service
• Conference Services
• Fitness Center
• Fine Art
• Ensures Enterprise Real Estate is staffed with highly-qualified, high-performing leaders and team members  

• Proactively manages the budget for areas of responsibility and works to identify and solve potential challenges and opportunities

Required Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must have the proven ability to effectively motivate and lead a team of audit professionals.  

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 

• 10+ years leading Real Estate functions in a large global organization 

• Proven ability to deliver results through external vendors 

• Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities 

• Some travel required

   

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree 

• Real Estate Professional Designations
