An award winning, vertically integrated leader in affordable multi-family development, is seeking a Real Estate Development Professional for our Dallas Texas office.  This position will assist in the daily coordination of activities of the company’s southwestern real estate transactions/development function in multi-family housing.  Knowledge and previous experience in Low Income Housing Tax Credits, tax exempt bond programs; federal and state funding mechanisms for affordable housing and multi-family development is preferred.   The position will be directly involved in the daily work activities of assigned development initiatives, including identification and selection of potential affordable housing opportunities, both new construction and renovation. Represent company in negotiations and meetings. Participate in the formulation and implementation of annual and long-term business plans and work programs for the company in the area of real estate development. 

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred), plus minimum 2 years of related work experience in public and/or private real estate development with demonstrated experience in transaction negotiation, LIHTC application and tax exempt bond submissions to State Authorities. Experience in negotiating, deal structuring and managing complex multi-family development projects and programs on a large scale. Incumbent must possess the ability to develop, execute and monitor company’s real estate development goals and objectives. Incumbent must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal and supervisory /management skills. Requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to a variety of individuals and organizations both within and outside of company. Incumbent must possess proficient computer applications skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.
