POSITION SUMMARY:
Well-rounded, self-motivated Asset Manager to oversee student housing and multifamily properties in its portfolio. These assets are located throughout the US and heavy travel will be required
Management:
- Develop strategic business plan for each asset and for the portfolio
- Oversee 3rd party management company on all property issues
- Conduct regular property visits as required to meet with 3rd party management
- Identify, develop and implement value add strategy for the portfolio
- Develop and implement capital improvement plan for each property
- Review property occupancy and NOI and report regularly to the Company’s Management
Leasing/Operations:
- Participate in rent pricing initiatives and make rent adjustments when necessary
- Conduct thorough market research on occupancy and rates and make recommendations as necessary
- Review and approve marketing budget on an ongoing basis
- Review monthly financial statements, annual budgets and monitor performance
- Review performance metrics
Financial Analysis:
- Complete asset valuations
- Complete monthly analysis of portfolio performance
- Perform economic analysis of rate, occupancy and expense adjustments
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 to 7 years of student housing or multifamily experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels within the organization
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- Complete understanding of contracts, leases, and leasing objectives
- Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately, multi-task and work well under pressure with changing priorities
- Demonstrates impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
