Description


Rapidly growing Philadelphia-based real estate development company has an immediate need

for a full charge Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper to perform the daily accounting functions using

QuickBooks Desktop accounting application. Under the supervision of the Chief Financial

Officer, this person will work independently in posting the financial transactions to the

appropriate company, account, project, budget and contract.

The Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper must be well-organized, detail-oriented and a self-motivated

accounting professional with exceptional communication skills, a positive attitude, and a desire

to be a key part of a motivated team. Comfortable in working in a fast-paced casual work

environment.

The ideal person should have a desire to grow both professionally with the company and in

making contributions to the team to reach company milestones.

Minimum Requirements

The Accounting Clerk/Bookkeeper ultimately selected will have demonstrated the ability to

handle the following responsibilities:

o Oversee all accounts payable and receivable functions

o Process invoices in a timely manner

o Maintain debt payment schedules

o Ensure contractual deadlines met (loan term, contract expiration)

o Issue invoices to customers

o Ensure that receivables are collected promptly

o Record cash receipts and make bank deposits

o Open bank accounts as needed

o Establish and reconcile all escrow accounts

o Provide monthly reconciliation of each bank account for CFO approval

o Conduct periodic reconciliations of contracts and funding, as applicable

o Assist CFO with reports and financial statements

o Manage necessary documents for tax accountant

o Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

o Maintain calendar to ensure the timely filing with local, state, and federal government

reporting requirements

o Ensure payroll processed and recorded in a timely manner

o Provide clerical and administrative support

o Ensure accurate and timely reoccurring periodic reports

o Manage corporate budget and overhead

o All other financial duties as related to performing above


Desired Qualifications

Ideal candidate will be experienced performing the above referenced tasks utilizing QuickBooks

accounting software. Experience and/or an understanding of real estate development and

contract management plus.

This is a full-time position. Salary commensurate with qualifications. Benefits include;
