Senior Legal Counsel - Acquisitions

Realty Income, one of San Diego’s premier employers, is experiencing exceptional growth and looking to hire a senior real estate acquisitions attorney. The position will drive multiple acquisitions deals for the company, responsible for drafting, analysis, negotiations, and documentation of multifaceted transactions to include bulk assets and development projects. The Senior Legal Counsel will oversee paralegals and collaborate with a team of interdisciplinary professionals to develop an optimal acquisitions approach and provide legal advice to the Company’s executives.

Required Qualifications:

• A Juris Doctorate with proven academic success from an accredited law school.
• Membership in State Bar of California (Non-California attorneys who otherwise meet the requisite qualifications are not necessarily ineligible to perform legal work for the Company, but, if employed in such a capacity, would be required to register with the State Bar of California and hold the title of “Senior Registered In-House Counsel”).
• Minimum of 8 years substantial progressive experience with complex commercial real estate transactions, primarily acquisitions related.
• Exceedingly professional and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas and technical legal issues clearly and concisely.
• Dependability and ability to work extra hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
