Scope:

The purpose of the job is to lead the development and delivery of complex asset related projects, site development programs and or site master planning activities. Projects will typically be 12-36 months in duration impacting multiple stakeholders and will require both technical and business skills to ensure successful delivery and execution.

 

The scope of the job is regional (North and South America) and the role holder is expected to actively support the Global Heads of Projects & Workplace and Real Estate through the sharing of best practice and implementation of common processes and standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Reporting to the Global Head of Projects & Workplace, you will ensure the successful delivery of regional projects and programs, in line with agreed objectives, within scope, quality, time and budget targets and managing associated risks.

 

You will also establish the technical and organizational framework of the project ensuring business continuity for critical services and property including maintenance and minimize disrupting business operational periods.

 

Your other key accountabilities will include:

 

 

Project and Program Evaluation and Planning

 

  • Work closely with Business stakeholders to define requirements for projects or programs and translate these into projects and site development concepts
  • Perform rigorous scenario evaluations to translate business demand into project concepts
  • Liaise with Architects, Engineers, Real Estate partners and Facility Management to move from concepts to executable plans.
  • Follow HS&E guidelines to ensure compliance with all local, national and international requirements (e.g. Laboratory compliance, office occupation, facility zoning, fire safety etc.)
  • Develop project timelines, risk analysis, change management plans, location selection and due diligence, cost estimates and business cases at the relevant project stage gate

 

Business Case Approval

  • Working closely with the Global Head of Projects & Workplace, Global Head of Real Estate and Financial Controllers to support effective investment planning and business case development.
  • Obtain approval for project proposals for senior executive investment committees

 

Project Execution:

  • Accountable for finalizing and awarding contract(s)
  • Oversee execution of work packages and construction management
  • Performance reporting (time, cost quality, scope)
  • Accountable for installation testing and acceptance to agreed stakeholder requirements
  • Develop comprehensive project cost models to avoid variations to the original requirement

 

 

Profile/Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree / Business / Engineering / Architecture
  • 10+ years of experience in Project management and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience
  • Strategic master planning and site development experience
  • Proven track record in business case development and high level cost estimation and control
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in different regional locations
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and organization skills
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Capable of working both independently and in a team, with strong collaboration skills
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Results-orientated with good problem solving skills
  • Very good level of Microsoft Power Point Excel and Project (or equivalent)
  • Spanish language skills desirable
