Working with the SVP Development, EMEA, the Manager will support the sourcing, evaluation and development of future YOTEL projects across all three brands (YOTELAir, YOTEL & YOTELPAD).  Following Starwood Capital’s investment into YOTEL in 2017, the Manager will support/and or lead to reach the global target of 60 hotels under development or open by 2023.   The role will focus on the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region with occasional support for other regions and ad hoc assignments from HQ in London.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Undertake detailed financial modelling and financial analyses/underwriting of hotel management projects (including ground-up/mixed-use developments, conversions and other opportunities) while working closely with YOTEL’s operations and design/construction teams and external development partners, architects and designers to finalise development plans
  • Assist in qualifying new regional business leads and helping to develop strategy on target markets, developers and investors with a goal of leading a specific region within EMEA
  • Compile and maintain global market data including real estate transaction data and hotel operating performance statistics in order to assist Development team with timely and accurate competitive information
  • Assist in preparation of RFP proposals, financing/investment packages and deal memos, presentations, market analyses, LOIs, development pitch presentations, investment committee memorandums
  • Support Global Development Marketing Plan with Brand team (brochures, conference sponsorships, development sourcing events, etc.)
  • Interface with external consultants, investment/joint venture partners, and commercial real estate brokers to source new opportunities and stay aware of current market conditions
  • Maintain good working relationship with YOTEL’s Investors, Executives, Managers and Staff including London and US HQ and sister YOTEL properties and support the Company’s global growth strategy

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Hotel Management/Real Estate, Finance, or Economics or Master’s Degree (MSc) in a similar field

Experience

  • Four to seven years of hospitality experience in financial analysis and feasibility, real estate acquisitions/development, investment banking, and/or consulting

Skills & Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial individual with ability to work in global, fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Desire to pursue career in Business Development
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisation and communication skills
  • Second language skills a plus (French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese)
