Description


The Kucera Companies has an immediate opening for several Building Maintenance Technicians/Engineers. We’re looking for highly-skilled, customer service-oriented team members who are focused on quality and building tenant relationships. These positions will be located on-site (little travel involved) and provide service to 15 tenants in two Class A buildings located in North Austin.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect buildings and proactively repair/troubleshoot issues.
  • Perform minor and routine maintenance repairs.
  • Respond to service requests on a daily basis and accurately document status in work order system.
  • Perform basic maintenance on electrical systems (replace light bulbs, sockets, etc.)
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems.
  • Maintain air and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, security) and schedule repairs when needed.
  • Conduct general upkeep of doors, locks, painting, basic carpentry, etc.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on building mechanical systems.
  • Manage vendors and follow-up on work done by vendors.
  • Manage EMS systems

Skills and Qualifications for Position:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational certificate.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in a commercial facility or multiple building environment.
  • Strong understanding and working experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues. HVAC certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work nights and weekend when “on-call.”
  • Must be mechanically inclined and able to lift 50-70 pounds.
  • Professional demeanor, pride in your accomplishments, dependable and accountable
  • Effective customer service and interpersonal skills working with tenants, vendors and staff.
  • Takes the initiative and has the ability to get the job done.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Note: You must have a reliable vehicle, clean driving record, and be able to pass a background check.
