Description


Bulfinch is looking to hire an Acquisitions/Asset Management Analyst to join our expanding team:

-The Analyst will be an active member of the acquisitions team, involved with investments from the time they are identified as potential acquisitions, through underwriting, closing, day-to-day management, and disposition;
-In addition to acquisitions, the analyst will be a generalist engaged in all aspects of the operation and management of the company’s existing commercial real estate portfolio;
-The Analyst will work directly with senior management across different functions including acquisitions, legal, leasing, construction, property management, asset management, accounting, financial reporting, and marketing; and
-Bulfinch envisions the position as a potential stepping-stone to growth within the firm.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Support the analysis of acquisition and financing opportunities including financial underwriting, due diligence, market research, and the creation of investment committee materials;
-Take responsibility in the preparation and evaluation of sophisticated Microsoft Excel and Argus models for investment opportunities and/or development opportunities across asset classes;
-Support the construction team with the permitting and development process when necessary;
-Take an active role in asset management activities including property level decision making, investor reporting, quarterly valuation, annual budget tracking, and tenant relations;
-When instructed, act as a liaison with external parties in the scheduling/attendance of property tours, execution of CA’s, collection of market data, and attendance at industry events;
-Maintain proprietary databases and collect market research to support acquisitions efforts;
-Update and assist with drafting of presentations for both internal and external meetings; and
-Take ownership of ad hoc projects across the organization as they arise.

The Skill Set
-A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates with professional exposure to real estate and/or finance;
-One to Four years of related experience (however strong undergraduate candidates will be considered);
-Proficiency in Excel, Argus, Word, and PowerPoint;
-Exceptional written and oral communication skills; and
-Good interpersonal skills.
