Description
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Investments, the Senior Investment Analyst- Midwest will join the team to effectively drive the overall underwriting and acquisition strategy of assets in each respective market.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- The role supports underwriting, financial modelling, debt/equity and joint venture structuring and dispositions for all acquisition opportunities.
- Conduct market research for proposed new acquisition opportunities including but not limited to US nationwide markets, leasing comps, sales comps, land, construction costs, etc.
- Prepare financial models, investment summaries and pitch decks working closely with marketing and design teams.
- Review, understand and update budgets, rent rolls, financial statements, pro forma, capital improvements, etc.
- Review, understand abstract legal documents (if needed verbally or in writing), such as leases, joint venture and loan agreements.
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in science, real estate, finance, or business-related field.
- 2 years' minimum experience within a real-estate investment company required
- Proficiency in financial modeling, preferably in senior living
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Expertise in Excel and MS Office proficiency
- Experience in creating professional presentations
- Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written
