We are seeking the right Intern who is passionate about Commercial Real Estate to joining thriving multifamily real estate underwriting and research team. Ideal candidates have ability to multi-task, while maintaining attention to detail for a litany of administrative projects is essential for this opportunity.

 

Responsibilities

-Gathering market research data

-Writing submarket research report drafts

-Update and maintain broker and 1031 database

-CRM management and follow ups

-Aggregating data from 3rd party sources such as CoStar, Reonomy, and ULI

-Research broker trades, market data and industry trends

-Assist with generating email sales presentations and marketing packages using Google Workspaces

-Create spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel 

-Building financial models and performing valuation analysis for multifamily communities and other real estate investments.

-Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.

•Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements.

-Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.

-Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.

-Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations

-Prepare monthly consolidation and executive financial packages as needed

-Analyze quarterly operating reports

-Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed

-Measuring financial risks associated with a specific investment

-Writing reports and making presentations for purposes of recommending the purchase or selling specific investmentsCreate monthly expense reports/P&L’s and provide variance analysis for management review

-Review monthly expenses to ensure that expenses are booked correctly and work with the accounting team to make any necessary reclassification

-Assist with the preparation of construction related draws, cost certifications, and certified audits

 

Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in finance and / or current real estate graduate students preferred

-Previous experience with CRM systems and data entry, preferred but not required

-Proficiency in Google Workspaces, MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

-Excellent communication skills

-Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

-Ability to maintain highly confidential information

-Desire to be on a team of positive, success-minded individuals
