Description


Support the Portfolio Management team with various aspects of three central processes: Capital Formation/Fund Raising, Existing Investor Maintenance, and Portfolio Management. Ideal position for candidate with 2-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Commercial Real Estate. Opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the U.S. multifamily landscape, build hands-on experience fundraising for large commercial real estate funds, and work closely with influential senior leaders at the forefront of the industry.    

  • Capital Formation/Fund Raising:
    • Prepare capital raising materials under Manager’s guidance, including responses to investor due diligence questionnaires, PowerPoint presentations for investor meetings/property tours, and fund offering presentations/documents
    • Update, maintain, and create fund-level financial models used for projecting returns for various funds and strategic partnerships
    • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, including Bell Senior Management, legal counsel, and placement agents/consultants to ensure various investor deliverables are completed on time and to a high degree of quality
  • Investor Relations - Active Ventures:
    • Draft responses to ad hoc quantitative and qualitative requests from investors, as well as recurring investor materials (i.e. quarterly templates and reports) for Manager review
    • Support creation of PowerPoint presentations and organization/logistics around various investor meetings, including the Bell Partners Annual Investor Meeting
    • Maintain organized record of correspondence with investors and materials on internal shared drive   
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Support with ad hoc internal requests to aid senior management decision making around investments, dispositions, and strategic planning
    • Maintain working understanding of property investments within the Bell portfolio
    • Understand fund performance trends and flag observations/concerns to Manager/EVP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or similar
  • 1-2 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Commercial Real Estate
  • Experience with multifamily real estate investments preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong work ethic, positive/“self-starter” attitude, and agile learning ability
