We are currently seeking an energetic Sr Leasing Associate to join the team and support the marketing and leasing activities for Empire State Realty Trust’s New York City portfolio. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Broker and prospective tenant outreach (e.g., canvass, events, meetings, and conduct space tours)
  • Develop/maintain existing tenant and broker relationships
  • Ensure that all information for listings and vacant space is accurate and conveyed to the market in a timely manner.
  • Effectively articulate the features and benefits of the properties to prospective tenants, existing tenants and brokerage firms through presentations, meetings, and tours of the property.
  • Maintain market knowledge, including prospect tracking, leasing availability, and current market conditions.
  • Maintain an accurate, in-depth knowledge of all aspects of assigned properties including all vacancies, tenants, lease expirations, and lease encumbrances.
  • Coordinate with Design Team on organization of floor plans.
  • Coordinate execution of marketing campaigns with the Marketing Team
  • Conduct routine inspections of all marketable spaces to ensure in marketable condition through teamwork with Property and Project Management . 
  • Coordinate the leasing process from prospect to lease execution.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience in commercial real estate leasing or brokerage required.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers, contractors, tenants or vendors in an articulate, courteous and professional manner at all times. Existing relationships in broker community needed. 
  • Financial aptitude / understanding of basic financial & business concepts 
  • Can work autonomously, as well as part of a team, to further organizational goals. Effective problem-solving skills, proactive and resourceful.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising attention to detail.
  • Willing to work nights as needed.
