Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibility is to assist the Executive Vice President of Real Estate Acquisitions and the various Vice Presidents and Associates in the preparation of detailed economic analyses of potential multifamily acquisitions. The Acquisitions Analyst will have 1 to 4 years of transaction related experience.

  • Underwrite potential acquisition targets utilizing Excel and Argus.
  • Perform detailed research and analysis on real estate markets and submarkets to guide investment decisions.
  • Conduct due diligence activities involving financial and competitive market analysis. Arrange third party reports such as market studies and property tax analysis.
  • Develop, in conjunction with the Property Operations Group, an operating and capital budget.
  • Participate in various analytical projects required in the Acquisition Department.
  • Prepare investment book materials and assist in presenting to GID's Investment Committee.
  • Assist in preparing reports to GID's ownership and institutional investment partners.
  • Maintain contact and relationships with potential deal sources including brokers, owners, and developers.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Four-year college or university degree required with 1 to 4 years related work experience and/or training desired, but not required. Fluency in and ability to, not only maintain, but to create Excel financial models and spreadsheets are essential. Expert proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required. Some Macro/VBA, OutlookSoft report writing and Argus background would be helpful
