Capstone is a commercial real estate investment sales brokerage firm with an exclusive focus on the multi-family sector. The Associate Broker with Capstone will work directly with the partners, investment advisors, and production support staff in various aspects of day-to-day operations, and become heavily involved in various firm projects and client deliverables.

This is a unique opportunity to grow in the commercial real estate industry and learn the business from the best of the best. The position will report directly to the partners of the firm. This role will require responsive, knowledgeable, and analytical support and organization to all brokerage projects; such as cold calling, asset valuation and due diligence, market research and data aggregation, asset valuation underwriting, and technical writing to report findings in a professional format to be presentable in client deliverables. Additionally, the Associate Broker will support brokerage transactions in facilitating the exchange of due diligence materials, scheduling of site tours and inspections, and various other transactional needs. The office location of this position will be in Nashville, TN with regional travel requirements.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

  • Outside sales: cold-calling, prospecting, and ability to close the deal
  • Asset cash flow underwriting and Pro Forma forecasting with factually-based assumptions
  • Asset and market data collection, research, and analysis
  • Create text and analytical content to be included in various client deliverables
  • Research and write high-level industry narratives about multi-family market conditions, economic circumstances, specific assets and their respective attributes, city/region highlights and trends, and various other client and firm deliverables
  • Coordinate brokerage transaction needs, including (but not limited to) site visit scheduling, information exchange, client needs, and overall transaction management
  • Attend firm meetings, and assist with preparation for client meetings and deliverables
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, and be timely and reliable with the agreed upon work schedule
  • Support all brokers in on-going transactional needs, client relations, and business development

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • Sales experience required
  • Prior real estate experience strongly preferred
  • Finance or similar caliber business degree; MBA preferred, but not required
  • Extensive education and/or experience in finance fundamentals as well as modeling cash flows and general return metrics
  • 2-3 years of previous work experience in a professional work office environment
  • The ability to respond quickly and deliver high quality deliverables to various professionals
  • Expert creative and technical writing ability and experience
  • The ability to maintain a high level of organization and independently manage your daily schedule to address the needs of various simultaneous projects while consistently delivering timely deliverables of the highest quality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Familiarity with CRM software preferred, but must have willingness to learn new software
  • Eagerness to learn, and drive and enthusiasm for the real estate industry
  • High sense of work ethic, reliability, and a desire to develop and take on additional roles and responsibilities with a growing company
