As Realty Income’s Total Rewards & Benefits Manager, you are responsible for the administration and management of employee benefits and compensation programs. Your proven expertise in providing compensation design recommendations, benefits utilization analysis, and program administration, will allow you to hit the ground running! Seven years of prior experience should allow you the groundwork to align with Realty Income’s goals and ensure compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Your Contribution to the Team Includes

  • Partner with HR and leadership on appropriate total reward packages to recruit and retain talent by developing and coordinating communications strategies and activities designed to educate and inform employees about total rewards, while managing and collaborating with vendors and external partners, including managing performance of contracts to ensure that maximum value of services is delivered.
  • Provide a range of consultative and analytical compensation services by translating business strategic direction into meaningful compensation programs.
  • Evaluate the benefits and compensation landscape to understand and learn from best practices through benchmarking and industry research and employment trends, track legislation and make recommendations.
  • Determine and implement metrics that assess and monitor the effectiveness of ongoing Total Rewards programs and new initiatives.

 

Compensation Administration

  • Must analyze compensation policies, practices and procedures, and recommend program operational revisions/design enhancements
  • Apply best practice compensation principles to provide customized, enterprise-aligned compensation solutions designed to support business, team and leadership strategies.
  • Perform market pricing and data analysis to provide compensation recommendations to HR leadership
  • Proactively complete needs analysis, problem identification, and recommendations, influencing decision-making at all levels within the organization
  • Oversee participation in annual salary surveys
  • Evaluate roles for FLSA status
  • Collaborates with external compensation consultants to ensure coordination of timely and accurate market data and maintenance of compensation database
  • Perform research, analysis & modeling for compensation budget planning
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and Recruiting to provide data to support promotions, transfers, job offers and retention
  • Oversee and perform the annual pay equity analysis compliant with California statute and other Federal and State guidelines; also perform the UK and pan-European pay analysis when needed
  • Responsible for all ACA reporting and keeps abreast of regulatory changes affecting benefit plans to ensure company benefit plans and practices are in compliance with external regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for Compensation Committee meetings; perform annual compensation risk assessment on non-executive compensation programs. Prepare annual Board update on all health and welfare programs
  • Keep apprised of federal, state, local, and UK compensation laws and regulations and informed of industry trends and best practices
  • Over time build out a team to align with business needs to track and manage growing global compensation programs.

 

Benefits Administration

  • Manage and assess the effectiveness of current programs in achieving organizational objectives, identify best practices and benchmarks, and develop recommendations for modifications to align to HR strategy and business goals by effectively planning and directing the implementation and administration of all benefit plans, including annual open enrollment efforts.
  • In partnership with Manager, HR Operations, lead annual benefits renewal process and open enrollment 
  • Respond to benefit-related questions from employees with an exceptional customer service focus
  • Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations, plan audits and required notices
  • Over time build out a team to align with business needs to track and manage growing global employee leaves.

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of direct experience working in primarily compensation and secondarily benefits (international experience a plus)
  • Understanding of HR business principles, practices, systems and procedures
  • Flexible and capable of adjusting to team and project demands mid-stream when and if change occurs
  • Ability to develop trusted advisory relationships with clients through effective communications and quality and timeliness of execution
  • Data modeling, statistical analysis, financial skill-set, and/or advanced MS Excel skills
  • Expertise in using salary surveys for benchmarking
  • Advanced knowledge of benefit plans including medical, dental, vision, Life, LTD & 401(k)
  • Knowledge of leave administration
  • MS Office advanced functionality skills
  • Effective listening skills
  • Effective time-management and self-discipline to work independently on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to execute in ambiguous situations and take the lead without explicit instructions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities, including the ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels of the organization
