JOB SUMMARY: LoanCore Capital, LLC (“LoanCore”) is seeking a Loan Credit Officer with commercial real estate lending and/or investment banking experience to join its team. This person will support the Chief Credit Officer in assessing risks in new loan production as well as modifying existing loans and managing non-performing loans and REO. The Loan Credit Officer will review new and modified loans with guidance and support from the Chief Credit Officer, with a goal of creating a separate approval authority whereby the Loan Credit Officer would lead the credit process. Title will be Associate or Vice President, depending upon the level of experience.

Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for financial analysis, risk assessment and credit structure recommendations for commercial real estate loans.
    • Review Credit Approval Memos and approve a credit structure appropriate for the risk profile of each loan; ask probing questions as warranted.
    • Complete loan credit analysis using financial data and other information provided by the origination banker and/or third-party information providers.
    • Complete site inspections and market tours with bankers and borrowers. Travel 10-20% of the time with domestic travel and overnight stays.
    • Assist with selecting and directing third-party due diligence providers including appraisers and environmental and engineering firms.
    • Apply/develop loan structuring skills.
    • Assist in the continuous development and refinement of credit and due diligence scope and guidelines.
    • Establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships with banking teams.
    • Balance firm’s new business goals with sound portfolio management and justify rationale for recommended transactions.

Qualifications
    • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree, preferably in Commercial Real Estate Finance, Accounting, or Business.
    • Loan origination or Credit Background.
    • Ability to model property valuations in Excel, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF).
    • Knowledge of all major property types and latest trends in Commercial Real Estate debt and equity.
    • Superior risk assessment skills including problem recognition and defining and structuring solutions to credit issues.
    • Experience with analyzing large and complex loan transactions.
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
    • Experience reading loan documents a plus. Loan workout and/or equity ownership experience a plus.
    • Argus experience a plus.
