JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for conceptualizing and leading the design of automation initiatives of finance processes within CBRE. Executes on initiatives and manages a team of direct reports who will support the architecting of financial processes and conducts detailed research via stakeholder meetings to identify where process improvements can be made. Reviews the quality of work and process improvement proposals of the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews process sequences, interactions, decision points, and roles as presented by their team and assesses the feasibility of those processes.

Evaluates and proposes process improvements (Waste elimination, Automation, RPA, Centralization near/offshore) and/or engineers new processes from the ground up.

Reviews the quality of work, proposed process improvements, and considers process problems as presented by their team. Provides feedback and advises next steps accordingly.

Works with process users to identify issues or pain-points. Conducts detailed research via stakeholder meetings to identify where process improvements can be made.

Defines and manages interfaces with other processes ensuring interdependencies and other factors are thoughtfully aligned.

Communicates process changes to the process users.

Communicates input requirements to internal suppliers.

Meets process output requirements of internal customers.

Monitors, measures, analyzes, and evaluates processes after implementation and/or in current state of execution.

Acts as the automation owner for financial processes in scope.

Identifies process documentation/writing needs; communicates these needs to the Sr Manager and/or Director effectively.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

QUALIFICATIONS

AUTOMATION and INNOVATION EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in using process and/or automation technologies (e.g. UiPath RPA, BluePrism, WorkFusion, Celonis, Automation Anywhere OCR, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence) to achieve business outcomes

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Finance, IT, or a related field of study with a minimum of 5-7 year's experience. Master's degree preferred.

Experience with project scope development, programming, conceptual design, and financial regulatory compliance a plus.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to apply excellent written and verbal communication skills to accurately explain/report activity. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues and work collaboratively with business partners, key employees, top management, and client groups on various projects.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles. Ability to independently research complex accounting transactions/issues. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES
Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Visio
