Analyst responsibilities
- Provide analytics, research, and advanced modeling support for underwriting investments and investment management functions, including: property-level strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, tenant analysis, and leasing decision analysis
- Coordinate activities and reporting with operating teams, JV partners and investors
- Analyze financial statements, together with annual budgets, forecasts and pro forma financials
- Conduct market research and analysis related to existing and prospective investments, market sectors and geographies
- Maintain data for all investment activities as well as investment pipeline via internal SharePoint repository.
- Coordinate, assemble, and distribute materials to investors, partners and third-parties
- Prepare written narratives and financial data/charts for use in management and investor reporting, including quarterly and annual reports
- Assist and support senior investment professionals as directed
Educational & Professional Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related field - top real estate undergraduate or graduate program preferred.
- 2+ years of commercial real estate experience preferred with a focus in private equity and/or finance
- Strong analytical mindset, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel/Financial modeling experience with a strong understanding of financial and real estate concepts such as DCF, IRR, NPV, NOI, cap rates, etc.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint and technical expertise with complex financial modeling.

- Understanding of financial statements, real estate and accrual basis accounting, valuation principles, and the property budget process

- Able to probe, ask thoughtful questions, and dig beneath the surface to test the validity and relevance of information
