The Denver Office is seeking a financial analyst to work with one of our most successful teams. The Financial Analyst position requires excellent analytical and professional business writing skills. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance or Real Estate. Superior computer skills are a must; candidate should possess a high comfort level with Microsoft Excel and have general excel financial modeling capabilities.
The Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support services, which will include preparing financial models, data input, underwriting property values, performing market research, analyzing comparable properties and property trends and preparing financial analysis for presentation to clients. Professionalism and attention to detail are musts.
The Financial Analyst will be a resourceful contributor to the team who can operate in a fast paced, stressful environment, take direction, and multi-task under tight deadlines. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
• Assemble and modify pro forma NOIs & discounted cash flow projections, utilizing both Excel and Argus.
• Assist with preparation and delivery of due diligence items, making sure clients questions are answered promptly
• Read and abstract leases.
• Assist in drafting investment memorandums and opinion of values.
• Market research including but not limited to: sales comps, rent comps, tracking new construction and local and national real estate trends
• Monitor and analyze the financial performance of properties and portfolios.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports when needed.
• Assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Engineering, or other related field.
• 2-5 years related financial modeling experience with a strong understanding of financial and real estate concepts such as NOI, cap rates, IRR, DCF, NPV etc.
• Must possess strong analytical mindset, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Argus, Microsoft Office
• Experience in investment underwriting of retail or office assets is preferred
• Undergrad degree with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to function under pressure to meet deadlines are essential candidate attributes.
