Summary:

PCCP is seeking a Vice President to join the debt asset management team, in our San Francisco office, focused on independently managing a subset of PCCP’s debt investments. The Vice President will identify, recommend, and execute strategies to achieve asset specific investment objectives through active management of asset and joint venture partner performance in order to maximize value and investor returns, and mitigate risk.  The position has broad exposure to most real estate asset types in markets across the United States.  Job duties include monitoring property operating performance and development, preparing and finalizing quarterly reports and presentations, evaluating and approving tenant leases and extensions, reviewing budgets and cash flow projections, overseeing and approving future loan advances, conducting market research, tracking key performance indicators, and underwriting valuation changes for loan modifications and extensions.  The Vice President is also responsible for maintaining excellent working relationships with PCCP peers, all third party team members and borrower partners.
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Apply a proactive, hands-on management strategy to maximize the value of each investment within the assigned portfolio.
  • Display thorough knowledge of theoretical and applied investment banking techniques.
  • Identify key issues with loan performance and skillfully analyze problems to reach clear conclusions.
  • Work closely with and manage junior deal team members, as well as, third-party servicers, inspectors, leverage clients, other lenders, brokers, and attorneys to provide clear direction in executing on risk mitigation and portfolio strategies.
  • Review, analyze and approve, as needed, asset operating performance, budgets, leases, third-party valuations and construction draws. 
  • Prepare and help finalize performance reports to investors on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
  • Travel to perform inspections on assigned portfolio, as needed, and maintain strong communication with borrower clients on a frequent basis.
  • Track local market trends and statistics to support valuation assumptions, as well as provide feedback during the underwriting process for new investment opportunities.
  • Lead other deal team members with various projects and tasks, including loan modification underwriting and loan extension processing.
  • Assist senior deal team members, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of in-depth equity and/or debt asset management, property management experience in commercial real estate, servicing, development and /or related disciplines
  • Proactive, strong self-motivation and work ethic
  • Functions well as a team leader
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills, with a finance driven approach to the business
  • Experience with ARGUS and MS Office programs is required
  • Project management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize work load efficiently and effectively with little direction
  • Detail-oriented with a solid ability to think and communicate strategically
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven and entrepreneurial environment
