About the Company

EPRT is a rapidly growing single tenant net lease publicly traded REIT based in Princeton, NJ.  The Company was formed in April 2016 and currently manages over $2.4 billion in single tenant net lease investments.  EPRT is staffed with a well-capitalized, seasoned investment team that is seeking to grow. The candidate will become part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company’s finances.

 

Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Associate will work closely with the Director of Treasury & Cash Management, the Accounting Department, and the Asset Management Department to track and record tenant receipts in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This includes the reconciliation of assigned workpapers, researching discrepancies, and maintenance of documentation.  The candidate will demonstrate careful attention to detail, proven ability to maintain and interpret large amounts of transactional data and support EPRT’s inhouse collections project.

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain and track the status of rent collections across all payment types, bank accounts and servicers
  • Coordinate with asset management to ensure records are accurate and complete
  • Identify uncollected payments and generate a variance analysis
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledgers and ensure journals are up to date
  • Prepare ACH debit originations for tenant collections
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process
  • Prepare collection reports for integration/upload to Yardi

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-3 years’ work experience required (in Real Estate preferred)
  • Yardi experience
  • Knowledge of banking online treasury systems
