As Realty Income’s Payroll and HR Specialist, you will be working alongside a growing team of enthusiastic Human Resources professionals. Primarily focusing on multistate payrolls, benefit payments, and stock plan transactions, you will be reporting to the Payroll and Stock Accountant. You should be able to tell us about your proven track record of handling highly confidential personnel and financial information, intermediate Microsoft Excel experience, and having an overall process driven background.


Your Contribution to the Team Includes:

Payroll

  • Process multistate domestic payroll for 200+ employees through UltiPro and Activ Payroll
  • Run and save pre-check and post-payroll reports
  • Complete employee verification of employment (VOE) forms
  • Provide payroll information for unemployment insurance notice requests
  • Provide superior customer service as the contact for payroll information and questions

Timekeeping

  • Assist in reviewing, reconciling, and processing semi-monthly timesheets in UltiPro Time Management for both exempt and nonexempt employees
  • Ensure timesheets are submitted and approved by deadlines and that timesheets are completed in compliance with State regulations and company policy
  • Work with managers to resolve any discrepancies
  • Prepare and distribute timesheet reminder emails

  • Assist in administration of benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations
  • Respond to employee inquiries from employees, carriers, and brokers
  • Reconcile 401(k) contributions and match to payroll on quarterly basis
  • Assist in preparation for annual 401k audit
  • Assist in annual workers' compensation audit

Stock Plan Administration

  • Maintain the company’s stock data in Equity Edge Online (stock plan administration system)
  • Enter/update employee information and tax preferences in Equity Edge Online
  • Provide timely communication of new stock grants and vesting of shares to employees
  • Respond to stock administration-related internal and external inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide training information to participants
  • Calculate annual AFFO stock grant

Onboarding

  • Coordinate with hiring manager to prepare for new employee
  • Enter provisioning information into UltiPro and push out notifications
  • Enter new employee information in all systems

HR Administration

  • Calculate required metrics on monthly, quarterly, annual basis
  • Maintain employee database in HR System; process employee job changes
  • Tracking and notification of employee real estate licensing requirements and renewals

Perform other duties as assigned.


What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • Minimum 2 years of California payroll experience
  • UltiPro experience strongly preferred
  • Multistate payroll experience preferred
  • U.K. payroll experience preferred
  • Restricted stock award/unit experience helpful
  • Medium-size public company experience helpful
  • FPC designation preferred
  • Ability to handle large volume of work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Ability to maintain high confidentiality
  • Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Able to collaborate effectively with key business partners including in the areas of Accounting & Finance and Accounts Payable
  • Works with integrity and ethically
  • Responds promptly to customer and employee needs
  • Exhibits objectivity & looks for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit
  • Offers help and asks for help when needed
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office
  • Intermediate proficiency of Excel to include vlookups, etc.
