Acquisitions Analyst

A Rapidly Growing Global Real Estate Developer based in New York City is seeking an acquisitions analyst to join their team. You will be responsible for analyzing various deals in the pipeline, creating investment materials, helping in the due diligence process, and producing internal reports. This position will be reporting to the Acquisition Associates and the Vice Presidents of Acquisitions. You will have the opportunity to grow in the position and gain exposure to multiple asset classes and deal types in a fast-paced, high energy culture.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research including demographics, psychographics, and competitor information to facilitate decision making
  • Assist in writing Offering Memorandums
  • Submit written findings and recommendations on prospect acquisitions in both domestic and international markets
  • Help write letters of intent outlining principal business terms of the transaction
  • Create CAs for new acquisitions opportunities
  • Work with CFO/EVP to complete all facets of due diligence
  • Assist in Internal Rate of Return, income, and expense projections
  • Provide updates of all potential acquisitions including the status of contract negotiations and any impediments to contract execution on a weekly basis
  • Help complete complex financial analyses in Excel and Argus

 

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate. 1 year of relevant real estate experience a plus
  • Excel modeling basics and concepts
  • Experience with Argus
  • Knowledge of lease language & industry practices
  • Ability to work effectively in a cohesive team environment
  • Positive, proactive work ethic and approach
  • Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environment
  • Self-starter & able to work independently
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Resourceful and persuasive in nature
  • Superior verbal & written communication skills
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Suite
  • Willing to travel
