General Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting the supervision and oversight construction, development and asset management activities for Willton Investment Management. Relies on knowledge and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish objectives. This position reports directly to executive management.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Under the guidance of the Director of Asset Management and Development, will support the oversight of execution on all projects. He or she will provide asset and project management related functions.
  2. Assists in the regular preparation of internal asset management reporting
  3. Interface with Sponsor partners on project and operational matters to monitor construction progress, financial performance, change orders, trends, consistency with project documents, legal agreements and approvals. Reports findings to Director of Asset Management and Development.
  1. Involvement in the assessment and due diligence of potential project acquisitions.
  2. Aids management in the overall planning and implementation of strategies to best accomplish goals set forth.
  1. Meet regularly with project, construction and management teams to discuss and address issues related to the assets. Provides input to management on critical needs items and provides assistance with resolution.
  2. Collect, file and evaluate 3rd party resources and vendors
  3. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
  4. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value.

 

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Requires 3-5 years of real estate experience. Preferably in development, project management, construction or asset management.
  • Appropriate educational credentials required. Preferably in construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate development or related field
  • Familiarity with a variety of field concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Requires strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Requires outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires the ability to communicate with and develop effective working relationships with others in a team oriented and deadline driven environment.
  • Requires excellent organizational skills.
  • Requires exceptional time management skills. Ability to set clear timelines for tasks due.
  • Requires excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Project Management Software.
  • Must be a team player who loves to brainstorm, can think independently and will be committed to the company.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Ability to generate ideas, present options and have the flexibility to modify a plan of action as the situation warrants.
  • Requires acute attention to detail.
  • Monthly travel required
