The role

We’re looking for a Vice President of Acquisitions to lead and execute on Locale’s overall expansion strategy in major markets in the US and internationally. You’ll own the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and closing of real estate opportunities, including master leases, management agreements, and finance agreements. As a critical member of our leadership team reporting to the CEO, you’ll be directly responsible for building a robust pipeline of future Locales while directing your team’s activities to make smart portfolio decisions.

Your responsibilities

• Lead our efforts to develop and execute on our growth plan, working closely with the CEO
• Build deep relationships with hospitality and multifamily owners and developers 
• Build the pipeline by sourcing acquisition and development opportunities that align with our strategy
• Underwrite prospective deals and oversee financial and legal due diligence
• Prepare and present investment packages, financial models, and deal memos to committee
• Lead complex negotiations and transactions, closing deals with speed and accuracy
• Leverage market data to drive smart portfolio strategy and decisions
• Hire, train and manage a supporting team within your first year
• Close multiple deals for Locale in the first year
• Create reliable and repeatable tools and processes
• Participate in national panels and industry conferences as a thought leader

Your qualifications

• 8+ years experience in real estate finance and acquisitions
• Executive-level relationships with institutional owners and developers, REITs, private equity, family office
• Multifamily and/or hospitality experience required
• Working knowledge of regulatory and entitlement processes preferred
• Highly analytical with strong financial modeling, underwriting skills
• Deep understanding of the deal process from start to finish
• High EQ with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Highly independent and self-starter by nature
• Significant travel required
• MBA preferred
