Affordable Housing Partners, Inc. (“AHP”) is 100% owned by Berkshire Hathaway Inc., a publicly traded company (NYSE: BRK.A; BRK.B) based in Omaha, Nebraska and known for its chairman, investor Warren Buffet. AHP acquires low‐income housing and historic tax credits for Berkshire Hathaway. AHP is known for its parent company’s large tax credit investment capacity and for providing flexible and timely investment solutions to its development partners to create affordable housing. AHP acquires tax credits for Berkshire Hathaway as a direct investor; AHP is not a syndicator. Therefore, the ultimate closing and funding of individual investment opportunities are not conditioned on AHP closing a fund with a third-party investor. Since AHP's inception in 2011, AHP has acquired (for Berkshire Hathaway’s use) over $3.7 billion of tax credits. These investments have spanned across 351 properties within the United States and in Puerto Rico, totaling the new construction or renovation of nearly 46,000 apartment homes.
